Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin

Kilmainham Gaol is a former prison in Dublin that has been converted into a museum. The prison was opened in 1796 and is known for being the place where many Irish political figures who fought for independence, including the revolutionaries leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising, were imprisoned and executed.
