The "Headquarters Malaya Command Operations Bunker" is remembered as the place where the British ordered in 1942 to surrender Singapore to the hands of the Japanese. Known today as the Battlebox, the bunker converted into a museum and is open to the public. Wandering at the park will take you back in time, in the memory lane of Singapore, and exhibit another side of this wonderful country.

Much smaller than Sultan Mosque, yet very interesting, Hajjah Fatimah Mosque (Masjid Hajjah Fatimah) is another prominent religious monument in Singapore. Opened in 1846 thanks to a major donation from Hajjah Fatimah Sulaiman and therefore the mosque, in an untypical act, named after her. Taking the name of a woman is not the only exceptional thing about this Mosque.
