House of faith and worship, Buddha Tooth Relic Temple is a picturesque 5-floors Buddhist temple and a museum in Chinatown. Very popular among tourists, it is claimed that the Temple holds the tooth relic that belongs to Buddha himself. However, doubts and questions were raised by experts about the trustworthiness of the tooth relics. Still, the place serves Buddha's faithful believers and the general public that is able to learn about Buddhism history, philosophy, and practices. The temple and museum are very peaceful and impressive. Abundant with Buddha statues and religious artifacts and has lavish red-golden decoration and a splendid rooftop garden.

Merlion Park is another coveted destination in Singapore that should not be missed. The park is a wonderful hotspot for strolling by Marina Bay but most of all, viewing the monumental Merlion statue. Body of a fish and head of a lion, the Merlion is a symbol of Singapore and a magical reminder of its past. A remnant of Singapore's modest beginning as a village based on fishing for a living and the former name of the country, Singapura, which means "lion city". The Roaring fish-lion which pours water of his mouth is approximately 9 meters tall and weighs 70 tons. The park is also a home to another Merlion statue, 2 meters tall, named "Merlion cub".

A relatively small but historically unique, Cavenagh Bridge is a cable-stayed pedestrian bridge that connects the southern and northern banks of the Singapore River. Inaugurated in 1869, this is among the oldest bridges in Singapore and the only suspension bridge that survives as is since its opening.

Singapore's formation was a process of blending different cultures and ethnicities and generating one unify national identity. This melting pot strategy and the nowadays results are wonderfully displayed at the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM). Today, the station is home to the Civil Defence Heritage Gallery, a museum dedicated to the history of fire fighting in the country and rescue technologies.

Full of atmosphere and charm, the picturesque Fort Canning Park resides on a hill in the heart of Singapore, and its chronicle entwined with the country's history. The Park is a great vantage point and a green space that is full of attractions, historical remains, and nine alluring gardens with lovely vegetation and walking trails. The Park is also a popular venue for music events, festivals, and much more. The Bukit Larangan ("Forbidden Hill") as it used to be called was a holy Malay hill that serves the Majapahit as a center for the Malay rulers of Singapore in the 14th century.

The Hill was also home to Stamford Raffles, a British who established nowadays Singapore, which built his house on the hill in 1823. It named Fort Canning when The British army used the Hill as a base in the 19th century. While most of the base was destroyed, from 1936 and during World War II a bunker was built under the hill and served as a headquarters to the British Army forces. The "Headquarters Malaya Command Operations Bunker" is remembered as the place where the British ordered in 1942 to surrender Singapore to the hands of the Japanese. Known today as the Battlebox, the bunker converted into a museum and is open to the public. Wandering at the park will take you back in time, in the memory lane of Singapore, and exhibit another side of this wonderful country.

Hindu temple which inaugurated in 1870, a place of faith and devotion that was built to honor Sri Krishna and his consort Rukmini. Beautifully designed, the place is inviting and welcoming, with an exceptional entrance that is decorated with graceful and colorful statues. Resides at Waterloo Street in Bugis neighborhood, right near the popular Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple.

A Buddhist temple in Bugis neighborhood, dedicated to Kwan Im (also known as Kuan Yin) - the Goddess of Mercy. With a history dating to 1884, Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho has a traditional Chinese temple's architecture, red-golden decoration, and stately golden Cundi Bodhisattva (one of Kwan Im reincarnations) statue. The place is very popular among believers who wish to receive blessings of luck and good fortune from their Goddess and tourists who wish to observe the marvelous temple.

Bugis street is a shopping hub at affordable prices, with a wide selection of goods. The Street also offers plenty of gastronomical options and due to its accessible location and low prices, it can be bustle and crowded at times. However, the street can provide a vibrant shopping experience for travelers on a budget who wish to buy things for themselves and gifts for their loved ones.

A colorful bazaar of shops and boutiques with a wide variety of goods and delicious Middle Eastern cuisine. Textile, perfumes, carpets, clothing, restaurants, and energetic vibes, the Arab Street will give you authentic aromas and flavors of the Middle East.

A majestic mosque with glorious golden onions domes and an impressive prayer hall that can contain up to 5,000 believers, Sultan Mosque is a must-see while in Kampong Glam. The Mosque, also known as Masjid Sultan, was built in 1924 by Sultan Hussain Shah, who ruled Singapore. The Construction ended 2 years later, however facing the time damages and the need for a better place for the growing Islamic community, the present-day Mosque was inaugurated in 1928. Except for its inspiring sight, the building reflects a spiritual and humanistic view of equality. The dome's base has been made out of glass bottles, donations of the unprivileged, and a symbol that all, poor or rich, are welcome in the Mosque. Praised for its magnificent architecture thenceforth, the Mosque receives the prestigious status of Singapore's National monument in 1975.

If you are a cat lover and especially if you miss your cats back home while you travel, Meomi Cat Café is the perfect place for you. The cozy café has friendly staff, beverages, and some desserts, and of course, furry and fluffy cats to pat and play with. To take good care of the cats, Meomi Cat charges an entrance fee per hour, which also includes a drink.

Haji Lane is one of the narrowest and trendiest streets in Singapore. Affluence with street art, vintage look, and indie spirit vibes, Haji Lane is a photo-taking hotspot. If you live on social media, this street is a lovely variegated stop to photograph and share with family and friends. The street is also abundant with fashionable boutiques, restaurants, cafés, and bars at affordable prices. This eye-candy street is very inviting and a terrific location to stroll, eats, and shop.

Baghdad Street is very much like Haji Lane, a foodies' favorite with plenty of restaurants offering delectable food and a colorful street to take pictures or a selfie.

Small, yet fascinating, the Malay Heritage Centre will take you through Singapore and the Malay's community history alleyways. The 2-floors Centre use to be a royal palace, Istana Kampong Gelam, a place where Singapore's Malay sultans used to live. It was originally built in 1840 according to the will of Sultan Ali, the son of Sultan Hussein Shah who ordered to build the famous Sultan Mosque. Preserved and re-opened in 2005, the Malay Heritage Centre has 6 permanent galleries that provide a glance at the rich heritage of the Malays in Singapore.

Much smaller than Sultan Mosque, yet very interesting, Hajjah Fatimah Mosque (Masjid Hajjah Fatimah) is another prominent religious monument in Singapore. Opened in 1846 thanks to a major donation from Hajjah Fatimah Sulaiman and therefore the mosque, in an untypical act, named after her. Taking the name of a woman is not the only exceptional thing about this Mosque. Architecturally, the Hajjah Fatimah Mosque was built under oriental and European influences according to a design of an unknown non-Muslim British architect. Take a day off the beaten path, and visit the splendid island, Pulau Ubin. An island with 60's -70's rustic characteristics that is very different from modern Singapore.

To arrive at Pulau Ubin, you will first need to go to Tanah Merah MRT Station and make sure you are out of the station through Exit B.

At Exit B, please take bus no. 2 to Changi Village Terminal.

Get off the bus at Changi Village Terminal, then turn left and search for Changi Point Ferry Terminal directions sings. It's a short walk of about 5 minutes until you reach the ferry.

The Ferry is leaving only when it's full, meaning, there is no regular schedule. It takes about 15 minutes to reach Ubin from the Terminal with the Ferry.

Turn right from the Jetty Entrance, pass the Pulau Ubin Police Coast Guard and enter the Sensory Trail, a less than 2km trail that takes about an hour of walking. Like other sites at Pulau Ubin, this trail was designed with elegance and careful thought. On your way, you may encounter animals and find fruit trees, spices, medicinal herbs, vegetables, and more. The view is beautiful and the walking is very easy and calm.

Continue with the trail until it curves to the left, then you'll see a large pond, covered with lotus flowers, and surrounded with plants. The pond actually consists of 4 smaller ponds that were unified into one, to serves habitats for biodiversity.

Very close to Sensory Trail Pond resides Teck Seng's Place (House 363B), an open house to the joyous of the visitors. The house, as the name suggests, was belonged to Chew Teck Seng, who used to have a provision shop that supplies vegetables and left the Island in 2005. Then, Teck Seng's Place underwent preservation and turned into a traditional Chinese kampong house and exhibit 1970's life on the island. Please be aware that Teck Seng's Place is open to the public only on the 2nd and 4th weekend of the month and during holidays, from 10:00 until 14:00.

Continue on Jin Ubin until you see Ubin Fruit Orchard, a charming piece of nature that is open to the public and covered with approximately 350 fruit trees. Named Ubin Fruit Orchard, to honor the island residents that their own trees were situated in this place.

Head on to Chek Jawa, one of Ubin's main attractions. Continue in Jin Ubin, turn right on Jin Durian and go on until you'll arrive at Chek Jawa Visitor Centre. Chek Jawa Visitor Centre, which is also known as House No. 1, is an enchanting 2-floors cottage with a fetching jetty that is observing the nearby island, Pulau Sekudu (also called Frog Island due to its shape). The Tudor-style house was built in the 1930s and has an eye-catching fireplace which today is home to bats. The place was beautifully preserved and restored and today provides assistance to Chek Jawa visitors and comprehensive explanations about the house's history and Chek Jawa's rich biodiversity.

After visiting the Chek Jawa Visitor Centre, turn back toward the Information Kiosk and enter the Chek Jawa Trail, then move on until you reach Chek Jawa Boardwalk. The coastal boardwalk offers exceptional scenery of the sea and the shore and will lead you to an impressive mangrove boardwalk. The way is full of a variety of birds, bugs, tropical plants, and everything you would expect to find a home on the shore or in a forest. The Chek Jawa Trail is actually a loop trail that is surrounding Chek Jawa Wetlands and exhibits the beauty of the place as well as its biodiversity.

In sharp contrast to bustling urban Singapore and its skyscrapers, Chek Jawa Wetlands like much of Pulau Ubin is untouched nature, a tranquil area that is fascinating to explore. 100 hectares at a size, Chek Jawa is an intersection of 6 different ecosystems: coastal forest, mangroves, sandy beach, rocky beach, coral rubble, and seagrass lagoon. Together, they display an excellent example of bountiful biodiversity.

20 meters height tower, that provides an engaging and delightful panoramic view of Chek Jawa Wetlands, its tree canopy, animals, and birds.

On your way back from Chek Jawa Wetlands continue from Jejawi Tower toward Petai Quarry, and enjoy the Quarry scenic view. Then continue forward until you'll reach Jin Sam Heng and turn left until you'll arrive back to Jin Ubin and go on in Lorong Bin Kiang until you'll find Fo Shan Ting Da Bo Gong Temple.

Fo Shan Ting Da Bo Gong Temple is a small Chinese temple that was witness to many events on the Island. The Temple was built in 1869, and since most of the island's former residents were Chinese, many celebrations took place at the Temple. After your Temple visit ends, you may also freshen up and eat. The recommended restaurant in the area is Season Live Seafood, which is very close to the Temple.

The Butterfly Hill is much more than just a hill, it's an ecosystem where approximately 140 butterfly species live, fly, and proliferate. This delicate balance that enables this tranquil ecosystem is a result of smart planning, including special vegetation planting to attract the butterflies. Visiting Butterfly Hill will show you a world full of butterflies, a richness of colors, and a piece of nature that can hardly be seen in modern-urban areas.

From the Butterfly Hill, go back to Jin Jelutong and find the Lookout Point for Pekan Quarry, to relish on the Quarry's picturesque view.

Move on at Jin Jelutong, drink at the famous Ah Ma Drink Stall, continue until you'll arrive at Jin Endut Senin, and turn when you'll see Puaka Hill Hut. Then hike up to Puaka Hilltop View Point, the hike is very short, about 15 minutes until you reach the View Point and see the splendid view.

Changi Airport is not only one of the best but also one of the bustling airports in the world. As such and due to the fact many passengers must wait for their flights at the airport for long hours, the place is dotted with plenty of attractions that can cover an entire trip day.

The Cactus Garden located at Terminal 1. It is a comely and thorny garden that includes approximately 100 spices of cacti and arid plants and exhibit, once again, the way the people of Singapore use nature to revive places.

The Enchanted Garden is a little garden inside of the Changi Airport, and as the name suggests it is completely entrancing. It is an interactive garden that has four decorated grand wreath sculptures made of glass at its center. Covered by sensitive motion sensors, when you walk through the Enchanted Garden, the sensors respond with lights and sounds. While the garden is small, yet it is among visitors' favorite attractions at the airport.

One of the charming little gardens in Changi Airport is the Sunflower Garden on Terminal 2. If it is a beautiful sunny day, the Sunflower Garden offers a photogenic spot to wander around and take some last pictures from unforgettable Singapore.
