Zojo-ji, Tokyo

Zojo-ji is a beautiful Buddhist temple located in the Shiba area of Tokyo. It was founded in 1393 and it is one of the city's oldest temples. The temple is known for its large gate, the Sangedatsumon, and its enchanting gardens. The temple also has several important cultural properties, including the Jizo-dō hall, which contains statues of Jizo, the guardian of children and travelers.
