The Centre Pompidou, Paris

Located on the 4th arrondissement near the Marais, Centre Pompidou contains a library and the extremely successful National Museum of Modern Art (Musée National d'Art Moderne). The inside-out design of the complex is considered controversial but also gains plenty of fans and praise. The attached square, Place Georges Pompidou, is beloved by many and has become a gathering place for Parisians who enjoy music and art performances.
