Avignonesi Palace, Montepulciano

The elegant Palazzo Avignonesi is one of the most impressive buildings in Montepulciano. A Renaissance palace from the 16th century, designed by the notable Italian architect, Giacomo Barozzi da Vignola. It used to belong to the Avignonesi family, which as many of the oldest families in Montepulciano, has also an ancient wine cellar. Palazzo Avignonesi today contains 170 hackers of vineyards and offers tours, fantastic wine tasting, wine bar, magnificent gourmet dinners, and even cooking classes.
