Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo, Montepulciano

It is uncertain when Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo was erected, but it is believed to be in 1200. The assumption is that the palace serves the Capitano del Popolo, a medieval position of a man which was supposed to represent the people's interests. The entrancing ancient palace is also located in Piazza Grande.
