Duomo di Siena, Siena

Siena Cathedral, or in Italian - Duomo di Siena, is an imposing Romanesque and Gothic cathedral, located in Piazza del Duomo. it is not certain, but researchers suggest that the place was originally built in 1179. It is believed the Cathedral was built on the sites of a 9th-century church that was dedicated to the Virgin Mary, not far from a temple that serves Minerva's followers. The Cathedral interior is remarkable, and its marble mosaic and graffito floor are astonishing and must-see. The façade is one of the most impressive cathedral façades in all of Italy. Also, you may see magnificent sculptures by Antonio Federighi, Nicola and Giovanni Pisano, Francesco di Giorgio Martini, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Gian Lorenzo Bernini, and more.
